We’re delighted to share that Amanda Prorok’s Viewpoint Article — “Extending robot minds through collective learning” — has just been published in Science Robotics!
The article champions a paradigm shift that lies at the heart of our lab’s mission: moving away from building do-it-all robots, and instead advancing collective robotic intelligence. In our research, we design and study systems of diverse, specialized robots that learn, adapt, and collaborate — because, as nature shows us, intelligence emerges most powerfully through cooperation. 🌱🤖 This vision of a “mixture-of-robots” reflects what we strive for every day in the Prorok Lab: enabling groups of robots to achieve together what no single robot could accomplish alone.
